Many people seem to have the misconception that the world owes them something. They think they should be given money, or a job for doing nothing, but unfortunately for them the world doesn’t work that way.

These people have the world back to front, they owe the world, not the other way round. They forget about all that they have been given already: sophisticated healthcare that took thousands of years to develop, houses with heating and refrigeration, farming methods that provide the world with more than enough food, transport anywhere round the world, the ability to talk to someone on the other side of the globe and so much more.

All of these things came around only because many people have worked hard to make the world a better place for all those who live in it. The world definitely doesn’t owe you any more than it’s already given you, but you sure as hell should be giving something back. What are you giving to the world that enhances the lives of others? What goods or services are you providing to help humanity.

The foundation of modern human life is the exchange of goods and services, if you are giving out neither then you should be receiving neither. Don’t forget how the world works.

It is only once you start giving to the world that you receive from it.
