You cannot simply behave like everyone else and expect to become better than them, if you perform at the same level as everyone else you will get an average salary, an average body and average relationships. To be successful you need to be working on a level above the average.
Many people would claim to know this yet they don’t seem to truly realise it. Most people have only mastered the first 1 or two steps of the Dali Lama’s 3 stages of learning:
- Hear it
- Understand it
- make it instinctual (which most people don’t do)
They have heard what they should be doing, some of them understand what they should be doing, but very few people have made it instinctual. They have not made hard work a habit.
If you want extreme success then you need to take extreme action.
Many people will criticise you when you become obsessed with achieving results, when I started working out people were telling me not to overdo it, they were telling me not to become obsessed. These people are failures. If you want to achieve anything in life you need to live and breathe it, never listen to people who say you are working too hard. Because remember no matter how hard you are working there is someone out there working harder.
